The surgeon stays in the room
Donor harvest, recipient site creation and graft placement are performed by the surgeon who planned the case, not delegated once the consultation is over.

About the practice
Three decades spent on one operation, and a set of deliberate choices about how it should be planned, priced and performed.
Most cosmetic practices add hair restoration to a menu of procedures. We have never done anything else. That focus is the reason the technique work — FUT 2.0, the HUMS closure protocol, the anaesthesia system — happened here rather than somewhere with a broader practice and less reason to keep improving one operation.
It also means the whole room is specialised. Graft dissection is done by technicians who have done nothing else for a decade, under stereo microscopes, at a pace set by tissue survival rather than by the schedule.
Donor harvest, recipient site creation and graft placement are performed by the surgeon who planned the case, not delegated once the consultation is over.
Donor supply is finite and permanent loss is progressive. We plan the first session knowing there may need to be a second one in fifteen years.
Every plan names the density increase we are targeting across a defined area. That number is checkable afterwards; a graft count is not.
Quoted by donor area and complexity, including consultation, surgery and the first year of follow-up. No per-graft arithmetic on the day.
Nerve blocks are placed before any work begins, with optional twilight sedation for patients who would rather sleep through it.
Before and after photographs are taken under identical lighting, at fixed intervals, with treatment data attached to every case.
A consultation costs nothing and ends with a written plan.
Consultations are free, measured and without obligation — in Newport Beach or by video.
